Biography
Dr. Marshall was born in Dayton, Ohio, and grew up in Ohio and West Virginia. His mother was a stay-at-home mother and his father was a police officer at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. His family lived in public housing until he was fourteen, when they built their own home from the ground up. He attended public elementary school, and was then awarded a scholarship to a private school in Exeter, New Hampshire. He was a member of the Boy Scouts and 4-H, and is a Vietnam Veteran.

He attended Oberlin College for three years, leaving with Cum Laude Honors. After three years of college, he was admitted to Harvard Medical School by special admission . He did his specialty training in New York and Boston.

He worked at MacNeal Hospital as Assistant Director of Radiology for three years, and then opened a private radiology office in 1984. For the past several years, he has also worked as a radiologist in several Illinois towns, from Metropolis to Rockford to Rock Island. For the past seven years, he has been working at St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee.

POLITICAL RESUME

Dr. Marshall supported John Kennedy in 1960, and voted for Johnson, Humphrey, and McGovern in the 1960s and 1970s. He was elected to the Burr Ridge Board of Trustees in 1989. He worked in the Obama for President campaign in 2007 and 2008, campaigning for Obama in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Ohio.
